TSESHO - WHAT’S THAT? Puppet cabaret

TSESHO - WHAT’S THAT? Puppet cabaret

CCA "Dakh" & Teatr-Pralnia/Laundry Theatre, Kiev, Ukrajna

Director: Vlad Troitskyi

Performed in Ukrainian and English with  Hungarian subtitles.

1 hours, without breaks.

TseSho is the unique cabaret project combining drama theatre, puppet theatre, live
music, poetry. It is the cooperation of Ukrainian director Vlad Troitskyi and a group of five young Ukrainian actors. TseSho searches the new ways of expression by combining different arts.  Actors play the situations, make sketches with puppets, play instruments, sing, use the poetry.  Music has no framed genre and contains folklore songs, children's rhymes, specific sounds, old and contemporary poetry, own texts, world news, posts from Facebook, own memories and dreams. As all participants are not musicians but they are actors, so music is born like the word in the role - through feelings and sense. Actors play cello, contrabass, accordion, melodica and drums.

In the performance Tse Sho talk about the dialogue with yourself, about the strange connection with "you internal" and "you external", about memories from childhood, about how children perceive different things such as loneliness, loss, relations adults, war and which influence does it has on the destiny? Also there are reflections about the relations between people in the contemporary time, about the generations and about calling of every human.
TseSho is a concert-performance of 15-18 musical compositions. is a highly social puppet cabaret. A combination of music, theater and social content.

„We liked the sound, the rhythm of that phrase in Ukrainian: TseSho? In our performance it’s the question designed to provoke. Who are we? Who are we in thisworld of fake news, when you get lost in the newsfeed, when you start to lose your own memories? When your heart is broken by the news of death and war and destruction, but you are far, far away?” (Vlad Troitsky)
